Our client has an opening for a Tax Advisor at their Oxford City Centre offices. You will be responsible for managing the tax affairs of a number of owner managed businesses and the owners themselves, preparing company, partnership and personal tax returns whilst looking for additional tax planning opportunities for the wider firm. You will have the opportunity to take on your own portfolio of clients and manage your own client relationships in line with company values.

The majority of the role will be compliance based, providing pro-active tax planning advice to the firms’ clients (with support where appropriate), but there will also be some tax advisory work and the opportunity to help grow this side of the proposition. You will also have opportunities to assist with marketing activities, business development and be involved in strategic meetings to help drive the tax business forward.

There will also be an element of mentoring, providing training and support for tax associates and apprentices in the team, helping them to improve their technical knowledge. Ideally you will be CTA, ATT, ACCA or ACA qualified or qualified by experience. If you are newly qualified, this could also represent a great opportunity.

From a salary perspective, my client is offering £30 – 45,000, working 37.5 hours per week. Standard holiday entitlement and company pension. You will live within a commutable distance to Oxford City Centre and be prepared to travel to clients’ offices where necessary.
